After the Operation

FAQ

1- 4-What about the hat?

You can start wearing a hat that we supply you in your medication bag. We recommend you to wear it for 10 days. You can wear an ordinary hat thereafter.

2- 3- Do I need to use anything for my recipient area such as saline or oil?

You can use sterile saline to moisturize recipient and donor areas, but it should necessarily be sterile. Oily creams, Argan oil and Coconut oil, can be used 2 weeks after the surgery. Aloe Vera is also very good option to help healing of the donor area, but we don’t want you to use it for recipient area.

3- 2- Will there be any redness or healing marks on my head?

Actually, there are interpatient variations, but all crusts and scabs will disappear within 10 days. We can clearly see the recipient area thereafter. We expect some redness up to a few weeks after the surgery. Donor area will heal within a week, but full recovery takes few weeks.

4- 1-When can I take off my bandage and never wear it again?

You will wash your hair two days after the surgery. You will take out your bandage and will not wear it again after you wash your hair.
